This photo shows what was, until about one year ago, magnificent old growth forest (Brockman State Forest). If you want to see it for yourself, it is on Gloucester road just north of Burma road, 5km S.E. of Pemberton. Unfortunately you will have to break the law to see it as there are signs from every approach telling you that only logging trucks are allowed in.

This clearfell is just 6km from the area of Collins forest they are now destroying.

To add insult to injury, loggers have not only turned this ancient forest into a plantation, but they have introduced a large amount of weeds to the area such as thistles.
