Meet
Bertie. Bertie is a Brush-tail Possum, one
of a myriad of animals that CALM Officers say
don't live in old growth karri Forests. Bertie
lives (lived?) in a karri forest called Boorara,
11kms out of Northcliffe, Western Australia.
Although the small remaining areas of Boorara
are to be protected under the Labor government
forest policy, most of the forest has now been
destroyed by clearfelling.
